A Different Kind of Conversation

It is so funny or should I say life is so funny. Living in Florida one of my sons came for a quick visit. Since this is on the cuff of my getting better, settling into my new environment and massive removal of negative feelings things are still getting organized.
My eleven-year-old grandson tagged along for the visit. Most of you know that I live in a childless environment. It is very quiet and leaves it open to have many deep conversations. My point the three of us talked about some grown folk's business. Some things that were overheard in adult conversation and somethings on his mind. Yes, grown folks' business that I may not have been so open to before this walk in my life.
As the day continued it was as if shells of an egg were falling off. Things/words that meant so much were so important not to talk about became topic of conversation. This eleven-year-old is a deep young man who wanted to understand the world and prepare for the life he dreamed of for himself and his family.
Spending the day together allowed me to see a peek of the man he will become. A suggestion to grandparents slow down and listen to what they have to say they can surprise you.
